I'm really having second thoughts about this one.  Too busy with too many colors.  I'm in the process of going over it to simplify the design.  

 This is on a 3" x 18" scrap from my original panel. Took Quite a bit of time for all the taping, but came out cute. I'm having thoughts of a 30x30 quilt with something ona larger scale.  

  Here's how I lay out a 4'x8' sheet of plywood for a couple weeks of painting.

 I called Katie Baker, local and nationally known barn quilter... I asked what she did to protect the colors from UV rays.  She suggested PolyCrylic finish.  Found it on Amazon.  This REALLY brings out the colors!  I'll have to find a way to get some before & after pics.

  I like this one, but I think a deep red background will make the colors stand out.  More later. Yes!! The red certainly dressed it up!

 Here's an example of doing a thin coat and placing tape.  In this case the thin coat lets the whit eprimer show through.  This is the shaft of an arrow and I want it to look like wood. The tape is reused from another project but with 10 pressure rolls with the walpaper seam roller it will seal just fine.
